“Hidden in Plain Sight,” Minnesota Emerging Artists Series at the Rochester Art Center, MN. Plaster, foam, polyurethane, wood, brushed steel contact paper. Dimensions variable (largest piece 48”x50”x26”). The objects in the arrangement are all three-dimensional representations of elements in the concrete floor of the Accent Gallery. In the gallery, there are two patches of lighter-colored concrete and two outlet boxes. In my installation, the outlet boxes are on the wall the same distance apart that they are in the floor, and the concrete patches are the same shape and dimensions on the surface but in a new spatial relationship.
